OLD LEAKE PARISH COUNCIL

The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Wednesday 8th May 2024 

Old Leake Community Centre

Prior to the meeting there will be a Public Forum commencing at 7 pm when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council, after which Parish Council business will be conducted. The council meeting will commence at 7.15pm or at the closure of the public forum – whichever is the sooner.

This notice summons all members of the council to attend from 7.00pm or submit their apologies to the clerk at the earliest opportunity.

Members of the public and press are welcome.

1.   Election of the chairman - receive signed declaration of acceptance of office

2.   Election of vice chairman – receive signed declaration of acceptance of office

3.   Apologies for absence and reasons given in accordance with 1972 Local Governments Act s.85.

4.   Declarations of interest in accordance with 2000 Local Government Act.

5.   Election of members to working groups and outside organisations:

10.   To receive a report from the Recreational Area Working Group, accept monthly check sheets, resolve actions and expenditure for issues raised in the reports:

11.   Resolution to approve payment of accounts as listed in supporting documentation

12.   Highway Matters:

a.   To consider speeding lorries in the village and resolve action

b.   Items requiring maintenance / repair

13.   Planning: No planning applications have been received.

14.   To confirm the format and cost for the regular young people’s activity group

15.   To consider options with the dwarf fencing around Vicarage Gardens which is in need of replacing and resolve action

16.   To acknowledge the Outer Dowsing map 2024 – 2028

17.   To consider relocating the grit bin from School Lane to Pode Lane

18.   To note general correspondences.

19.   To set the date of the next meeting and note any suggested agenda items
